A memory blanket from baby clothes: how many, what size and how it works
Those first bodysuits have long been outgrown. The memories can stay. Selected pieces of clothing are sewn together to create the front of your memory blanket, then finished with a backing fabric.

Which clothes can I use?
Bodysuits, T-shirts, sweatshirts, pyjamas, dresses and trousers are generally suitable. Chunky knitwear and tights are not suitable. Please discuss socks, hats and other small items with Saskia first. What matters is how much usable fabric remains after cutting.
How many pieces of clothing do I need?
The amount depends on the size of your blanket and your clothes. The figures below are guidelines for baby clothes. A small bodysuit provides less fabric than a larger T-shirt; necklines, fastenings and designs also make a difference.

How can I keep special designs visible?
Mark any clothes that are especially important to you and include your wishes in writing. Saskia will work with the designs wherever the fabric and cutting pattern allow. Any additional appliqués will be discussed in advance to agree on feasibility and price.
How do I prepare my parcel?
Please send clean clothes. Include your name, order number and notes about any special pieces. Pack everything securely. You will receive the sending instructions after ordering. Any clothes that are not needed will automatically be returned intact; you can also choose to have larger fabric offcuts returned.
When will my blanket be ready?
As a guide, making your blanket takes 2–4 weeks from receipt of your clothes and payment, plus shipping time. If you need it for a particular occasion, please agree on the date with Saskia beforehand.
